Welcome to this e-learning course on Natural Capital Accounting.

This e-learning course was produced under the Darwin Initiative-funded project ‘Integrating Natural Capital Accounting into Sustainable Development Decision Making in Uganda’, with additional support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the ‘Connect’ Project.

The e-learning course is designed to provide an introduction to natural capital accounting, covering a range of concepts and methodologies. The modules are based on training materials produced to provide technical training to key stakeholders in Uganda. This course is designed for those who want to know more about natural capital accounting and to understand how accounts are compiled and analysed.

The following three modules are intended to provide examples of how the SEEA EA has been applied in practice in Uganda in response to particular policy issues, and are based on the three sets of accounts developed in Uganda under the Darwin Initiative project.
